Best known for his generic portraits and drawings of people, usually posed like holiday snap shots, Sebastian Pedley's art practice is actually quite broad. As a professional producer and maker Pedley's workshop enterprise involves the realisation of other artists' work, exhibition design and graphics etc. Current Fine Art Projects include the modification of real cars - Pedley dresses them up as characters or players acting out a role thus you no longer are looking at the car as an object but as an emotional moment. This process is still in evolution although five vehicles have been aquired after auditioning them from their descriptions and photographs on internet auction sites. Fascination with cars continues in the 'Live Cars, Dead Cars' series - playing with scale, drawing and model making, this series of prints are collages of models and pencil drawings depicting crashed cars.
